Day One Wie ist das Buch? (Hows the Book?)

The Book took two days to read...mainly because I had nothing else to do for those days. xD
The prologue was weird and annoying because it took me two full times to understand Deaths importance in the book when reading. Then after that the book introduced me to a girl Liesel, in her trip to being adopted along with her brother to another family since her mother sadly couldn't afford the cost of living for them. However the brother died in the trip going there. After the adoption and life of Liesel after that was settled, the setting kicked in with all the stores (Jewish stores by the way) getting abandoned and marked, along with people (Jewish people once again) being transported out the area. This showed world war 2 imagery in the novel. Somehow Liesels problem with sleeping seemed to be normal for kids in that area and time because of the setting set inside my head. I also felt bad for her, but it really was what it was. Adding the Rudy and Liesel one sided love twist seemed to be a good idea by adding more flavor to the book. Rudy being the polar opposite of Liesel was just too good for the book. Then to top off the "pure love", the scenes with Mr. Hubermann reading to Liesel from her Gravediggers book was heartwarming. This showed the otherside to a rather horrible life for Liesel Meminger. The two guys in her life brings some sort of happiness in her life and it shows that it was all she could've asked for.  How did you like the book?  Questions, comments, or concerns?
